Welcome to the Black Representatives Initiative for Democratic Governance and Equity (B.R.I.D.G.E.) PAC, a political action committee that focuses on Upstate New York Black Democratic leadership. The B.R.I.D.G.E. PAC is where leadership, partnership, and purpose come together to strengthen Democratic representation across our region, which has historically been unrepresented by Black elected officials. We unite Black and African diaspora elected officials across city, county, and state government to build the financial resources needed to elect leaders who are committed to equity, opportunity, and inclusion. More than a fundraising organization, B.R.I.D.G.E. PAC fosters collaboration, strategic investment, and civic engagement among like-minded elected officials. Together, we are building a bridge to a stronger, more inclusive future for every community across Upstate New York. ABOUT B.R.I.D.G.E. PAC
The Black Representatives Initiative for Democratic Governance and Equity (B.R.I.D.G.E.) PAC advances Democratic leadership by investing in candidates and elected officials who champion equity in underserved communities. Through the collective leadership of Black and African diaspora elected officials, B.R.I.D.G.E. PAC is building the resources and partnerships necessary to strengthen Democratic representation throughout Upstate New York.
OUR MISSION
Grounded in the collective strength and leadership of Black communities throughout Upstate New York, B.R.I.D.G.E. PAC supports and invests in Democratic candidates who champion policies that advance equity, opportunity, and justice for historically marginalized and underserved communities, including communities with significant populations of people of color. While our membership and donor network are rooted in the Black and African diaspora communities, our support is based on shared Democratic values and a demonstrated commitment to inclusive public policy — not on race or ethnicity.
OUR PURPOSE
Across much of Upstate New York – including Western New York, Central New York, and the Southern Tier, and many rural and suburban communities – Democrats have not historically maintained significant influence over State legislative districts, county legislatures, city councils, and mayoral offices. Winning and maintaining representation in these regions often requires sustained investment, strong coalitions, and coordinated support that has not always been available. The B.R.I.D.G.E. PAC was established to help address this gap by uniting the leadership, resources, and political engagement of Democratic Black and African diaspora elected officials and supporters across Upstate New York. Our PAC works to strengthen Democratic candidates and campaigns, preserve Democratic representation where it exists, and expand opportunities for Democratic success in competitive communities. Through this work, we will advance public policies that create more equitable outcomes for historically underserved and marginalized populations. By building long-term political infrastructure and investing in local leadership, our PAC seeks to ensure that every community across Upstate New York has a strong, viable Democratic presence capable of winning elections and governing effectively.
B.R.I.D.G.E. PAC believes that when communities organize, invest, and lead together, they create a more representative democracy and a stronger future for every resident of Upstate New York.
